is cheap; action is priceless. No matter how much we rant and rave about the
injustice and unfairness going on in the world today, it's all spilled milk
unless we put action behind those words and enact projects designed to solve or
alleviate that which plagues us. A populace willing to become informed and
willing to be aligned with insightful activists capable of assuming the role of
leadership is the greatest weapon against the tools of ignorance, apathy and
complacency propagated by the privileged sector benefiting from the imbalanced
status quo.
Hence the mission of WORD IMPACT: to allow those offering
the solutions to hook up with those most concerned about solving the problems.
This is your media outlet with which to launch that project you've
designed to provide cheaper, cleaner energy for the people. You can gather your
posse to hound the criminal "justice" system on behalf of those
wrongly convicted and/or abused by the prison industrial complex. You can get
your gang together to fight for the passage of that bill that will better
protect your rights as a citizen. You can seek partners for the formation of
"green" (ecologically compatible, socially responsible) businesses. A
long with that, why not recruit a base of citizens interested in building your
version of the "perfect green city"? You can compel the masses to
adopt your strategies allowing them to pool their economic resources and invest
in the establishment of a more equitable socio-economic system for the masses.
Whatever insightful and promising ideas sprouting forth from your brain pans
that can help us better survive this spinning mud ball and that help it
survive us, this magazine is here to get the word out so that we can get
things done!
It's also here to ensure that news that is vitally important to the people and that is underreported or ignored by the mainstream is exposed to the masses so that action can be taken regarding it. So, in essence, we'll learn who's about to "do it to us," what they're attempting to do to us, and we can take preemptive steps to prevent them from doing it to us. Just as we can remain abreast of non-manmade circumstances that need addressing. So, if you need to report on that impending congressional bill deceptively engineered to "legitimize" racial profiling or intolerance, if you wish to expose clandestine policies practiced by the medical industry to pad our bills, or if you want to know more about that asteroid that could hit Earth 20 years from now so that you can push for the installation of a world defense system, WORD IMPACT is your sounding board.
Do you know of a natural concoction that can better prevent colds or some good tips to protect homes against burglars? How about a free downloadable program that detects and eliminates computer viruses just as well as those expensive ones? You could have come across a shortcut for people to clear themselves of identity fraud. Maybe you know a great formula for laundry detergent or a better way to remove a stain from a carpet. You may want to share your resources for buying a new home. Then again, besides this useful info, perhaps you have some vital statistics the people should read, or some general knowledge they should be aware of--interesting info that improves the intellect and knowledge base. WORD IMPACT wants to help you keep the people informed so that we all can save money, live safer, live better, and have more fulfilling lives in general.
Finally, the raising of funds is of paramount importance to an innocent inmate on death row struggling to prove his innocence or to any activist entity in the fight for a better, cleaner world. It is the goal of WORD IMPACT to serve as a perpetual source of funds for Earth's progressive community, with 5¢ from the sale of each copy being reserved for such entities needing it or worthy of receiving it. (Thus, a circulation of 1,000,000 would bring in $50,000 on a continual basis for those on our side.) The staff of this magazine will strive to place these funds where they will do the most good for the overall populace as well as for those individuals most in need of aid.
Even if you are entity who publishes your own magazine, it would still benefit you to support and contribute content to this publication because it's diverse range of topics would generate generic public support and thusly allow you to reach a broader audience.
As long as it endures, this magazine, in accordance with Ad Spread Collective, will
launch projects of its own--all designed to allow the people to work together
for the collective good of all. It will also produce its own articles, with the
intention of informing the readership and leading the people onto a more evolved
course of existence.
