Presently, FREEDOM is not officially established as a legal business entity. However, this is a call for all like-minded entities to come together and register themselves with this industrial infant so that we'll have a full slate of human resources to access when time comes to launch official activities.
FREEDOM
INDUSTRIALISTS (FI) will
be formally established as a *private
partnership under the
control of partners of Black African descent who are skilled in various aspects
of the production, marketing, shipping and business sectors and who are
dedicated to the cause of Black economic advancement and socioeconomic autonomy.
According to consumer demand, the partners will contract manufacturing and
service-oriented projects out to as many Black-owned private producers/suppliers
as possible regarding all product/service submissions they receive from FI-affiliated
as well as nonaffiliated entities. (*A
private entity would have more autonomy with which to use its private resources
to help its own people than a more public one would have (such as a corporation)
and would not be as vulnerable to “discrimination suits”—such as those
that could be filed by entities who are unsympathetic toward
a debased race’s need to practice self-help.)
There is a multitude of brothers and sisters out there with pent-up
creative ideas and urges running through their veins who just need a break in
order to make their ideas materialize. As well, there are many inventors and
creators of all
races who are also looking for an escape from the stubborn and obstinate
impediments to commerce so that they can get their
goods to the marketplace.
What if Black America controlled the facilities that gave these creative minds the break they needed? And, what if we kept the jobs within the country while all other "manufacturers" were sending theirs out? Along with that, what if we also paid good wages? Then, we'd then be in the driver's seat to be leaders and the bosses, wouldn’t we?
No
need to start from scratch building our own industrial facilities. Let's just
use what's already there--but with ingeniously superior strategy.
There are various machine and industrial shops across the nation as well
as a multitude of crafts-production concerns and a legion of shippers and
marketing establishments that are Black-owned and operated. FREEDOM
INDUSTRIALISTS is a
project with plans of combining their capabilities in a way that allows them to
work together and thereby garner the geometric benefits generated therefrom.
Capabilities will be enhanced when manufacturers can both produce the components
they render best and then combine them into a finished product possessing
increased functional and lucrative properties.
A sheet metal expert has limited capabilities. But combine that sheet metal
expert with someone who can produce spring-activated mechanisms and with someone
capable of manufacturing heat-producing electrical resisters, and we've got a
toaster sitting on the store shelf for a customer to buy. Combine a great glass
master with a talented metal artist and we've got one elaborate table. Put an
eccentric woodworker together with an imaginative upholsterer and we've got a
very unusual sofa. Connect a skilled artisan of high-impact plastics with a
metal lathe-turner and we can fill our toolboxes with screwdrivers and chisels.
